Where HVAC and electrical meet
Condensers pull serious amperage. A tired breaker, a scorched whip, or a loose lug will take a good compressor offline or worse. If the air conditioner is tripping, we do not guess past the electrical.
What to call about
Warm outlets, a breaker that will not stay on, flickering when the AC starts, or a panel that buzzes. Those are not weekend projects. Shut the affected breaker off if it is safe to reach and call.

My breaker trips when the air conditioner starts. Is that the unit or the panel?
It can be either. A weak capacitor, a failing compressor, or an undersized breaker all look similar from the hallway. It needs a measurement, not another reset.
