Same-day AC repair when a Clermont house will not cool
A Clermont house that is climbing through the afternoon is not a next-week appointment. Here is what to do in the first ten minutes, and what we can and cannot promise when you call.
Before you call
Set the thermostat to cool and the temperature below the room. Check that the breaker and the outdoor disconnect are on. Look at the filter. If the indoor coil is a block of ice, turn cooling off and let it thaw. Those three checks solve a surprising number of “emergencies,” and they keep us from replacing a part the filter caused.
What same-day means
Most cooling problems are handled the day you call, when the schedule allows. It is not a promise that a truck is in the driveway in thirty minutes, and it is not a reason to pay a trip charge before anyone has diagnosed the system. You still get the price before work starts.
When it is not the air conditioner
A breaker that will not stay on, a burnt disconnect, or lights that dip when the condenser tries to start can be electrical. Say that when you call. We would rather know it is the panel than diagnose the compressor twice.
