Breaker trips when the AC turns on
One trip can be a nuisance. The same breaker opening every time the condenser starts is the house telling you to stop resetting it.
Stop resetting it
If the breaker trips when the outdoor unit kicks on, leave it off. Resetting it over and over heats the breaker and the wire. A warm panel, a buzzing breaker, or a smell is not a filter problem. Call before it becomes an outage or a damaged compressor.
It can be the unit or the panel
A weak capacitor, a compressor that is pulling too many amps, or a tired breaker all look the same from the hallway. The air conditioner is often the largest load in a Winter Garden house, so it is the first thing to expose a loose lug or a breaker that no longer holds. It needs a measurement, not another reset. EL EC13015890 covers the electrical side. AC CAC1824271 covers the equipment.
What to tell us when you call
Which breaker, how many times it has tripped today, and whether the lights dip when the condenser tries to start. If anything else on that circuit dies with it, say that too. Then call (407) 906-3142. The price comes before any repair.
