Duct sealing so the cool air stays in the house

A leaky joint in a hot attic is cooled air you paid for and never felt. TXT Home Services seals supply and return connections in Winter Garden, Clermont, and greater Orlando. We seal what is actually open. We do not promise a new power bill.

Supply duct at a ceiling register

Where the air actually escapes

The worst leaks are usually at the supply boot, where flex meets a collar, and on a return that was screwed to the drywall and never sealed. Attic air pulled into a return makes the filter load up and the house feel dusty even after a cleaning. Mastic and metal tape on the real gaps is the job. A light spray over intact duct is not.

What sealing will not do

It will not fix a unit that is the wrong size, a crushed run, or a coil that cannot breathe. If the ducts are also full of debris, cleaning comes first or the same visit. You approve the scope before we start.

Questions about duct sealing

Will sealing cut my electric bill in half?

No one honest can promise that from the driveway. Closing leaks in the attic stops dumping cooled air above the ceiling. How much you notice depends on how bad the leaks were.

Do you seal the dryer vent too?

The dryer vent is a separate line and a fire risk. We clean and repair that on its own visit. It is not part of duct sealing.
