Dryer vent replacement when the old line cannot be saved
Some vents should not be cleaned one more time. Crushed vinyl, a hood that no longer opens, or a run that was buried in a renovation needs a new line to the outside. TXT Home Services replaces dryer vents for homes across our service map. The plan and the price come first.
When replacement is the right job
The transition hose is plastic and flat. The wall cap is missing, painted shut, or clogged with a bird nest that cleaning will not fix. The run through the attic is longer than it should be and full of screws that grab lint. A new metal path, as short and straight as the house allows, is the repair that lasts.
What you approve first
Where the new hood lands, what pipe we use, and the price. We do not open the wall and then decide. If a shorter repair will honestly fix it, that is the recommendation.
Questions about dryer vent replacement
Do you replace the vent and leave the dryer?
Yes. The dryer stays unless you already know the machine is done. The dangerous part is usually the line you cannot see.
Can the new vent end on a different wall?
Sometimes. If a shorter run to a nearer outside wall is possible, we will show you that before we copy the old path.
