Why the upstairs will not cool in a Winter Garden house

Downstairs is 74. Upstairs is 80. On the 429 corridor that is usually the duct, not a compressor that quit.

Newer houses along the 429

Horizon West and newer Winter Garden homes often still have the original flex. It collapses if it was pulled tight, walked on, or stored against. Cleaning the dust out does not open a crushed run. The bedroom at the end of that line never catches up, no matter how low you set the thermostat.

What to notice before you call

Is one room hot, or the whole upstairs? Does the vent in that room barely move air while a downstairs vent blows hard? Say which. One weak room is often a repair or a new run. A whole floor that lags can be the return, the equipment size, or both.

What we will not sell first

A new air conditioner does not fix a line that is kinked in the attic. If the system cools the rest of the house, we look at the duct before we talk about replacement. You get the price before any of that work starts.
