Ductwork cleaning for the air you actually breathe

Ductwork sits in the attic, out of sight, and it moves whatever it collects. People in this climate spend most of the day and night indoors. Cleaning the ducts takes dust, debris, and mold-prone buildup out of that loop.

When it is worth doing

After construction dust, if vents are visibly lined with debris, if the house smells musty when the system starts, or if someone in the home is reacting every time the air kicks on. Duct cleaning is not a substitute for fixing a wet coil or a leaking drain. If moisture is the real problem, we say so.

What cleaning does not do

It will not repair a failing blower or seal every joint. It does stop the system from redistributing what has been sitting in the runs. Many homeowners book it with dryer vent cleaning so both exhaust paths get handled in one visit.

Questions about ductwork cleaning

Is duct cleaning the same as dryer vent cleaning?

No. Air ducts move conditioned air through the house. The dryer vent exhausts hot, lint-filled air outside. They are different systems, and both matter.

How do I know the ducts are dirty?

Look at a supply register. If the boot is coated, or the house gets a burst of dust when the fan starts, the runs are carrying more than air.
